Blue China for Xmas

I am quite proud of myself with the present that I got Rah this year. When I first saw it in the antique store around the corner from course I thought it was a ring but actually found out that it was brooch. But after talking to the antique store owner he said that I could quite easily get it made into a ring without damaging or devaluing it at all. Im happy how it turned out it looks awesome as a ring and Rah loves it. Thumbs up for me!

Welcoming 2011

Rah and I welcomed in the new year by walking around Christchurch city taking photos of each other playing with street lights, flashes, shutter speeds and apertures. It was heaps of fun and we both came out with some wicked results.

A photo of the beautiful Rah chilling on her laptop after a night out. For this photo I was playing around with a blue flash gel and a torch to get a cool blue light into to it. I love the way it turned out!  

John Deere Annual Report

For the last two weeks we have been working on General Annual Reports, I chose John Deere as my company to do it on since I am in a photography buzz I could go out and take some of my own pics. All the of the farm pics are my originals, but the tractor and Staff pics are sourced from the net. Its was a tricky brief to do due to heaps of text and grids and what not, other then that I think it went ok. Here is a few pages of it anyways.

So i'm going to start to try and post a photo a week, in the hope to get me out there taking more photo's and even more so hope to get better as I learn more about my camera and what makes for a good photo. This is one i took a while ago, which i liked the lighting of and contrast of the bunny (R.I.P) against the backround. And also how the eye draws immediate attention in the photo.

This is a brief we have just done, where we had to makeup a hairdresser of our own and design a two colour multifold brochure for it. There is a little tribute to Gray Kenneth Ritchie in the name...hope ya like it Gray! I also hope I spelt it right too!
